Thank you for doing the work.
The knowledge you carry — earned by proximity, by repetition, by watching the same failure play out differently across contexts — is worth considerably more than it is currently being paid for. Kofa is the platform that finally moves it to the people who decide.
The software runs the engagement. You are why it means anything.
Kofa is software — the platform seekers use for the brief, the prep room, the session, the decision asset. Behind it sits the network: coordinators and practitioners across African markets. You are the supply side of a platform. What you know is the reason the software exists.
The platform runs the process. You are the knowledge.
The platform
Everything around the conversation — preparation, capture, structure, payment, and the asset the seeker keeps — is carried by software. Your contribution enters a structured process built to preserve it.
- Brief Workspace — the brief your match is built from
- Prep Room — agenda, NDA, context, alignment before the session
- Session capture — complete, not selective
- Decision Asset — the structured record the seeker keeps and cites
- Payment — within 48–72 hours, no cut taken
The network — where you come in
Coordinators and practitioners are the supply side across African markets. You don’t bid, you don’t compete for visibility. When a brief matches your background, it reaches you — and the coordinator verifies the fit.
- Matched to you — not broadcast to everyone
- Verified — background and references reviewed, not self-submitted
- Coordinator-led — trusted country partners assure quality
- BYOP — a seeker can also bring you by name
Three things change when your knowledge moves
Your experience, finally paid for what it’s worth.
Three things happen when your knowledge moves through a structured platform — none of them happen when it stays inside a single conversation.
Your knowledge reaches the people deciding
Most practical knowledge stays inside a single project, a single organisation, a single conversation — never travelling further than the room it was first spoken in. Kofa is the way it travels. Your contribution moves into a structured process directed at the people who will use it.
Paid like the expertise it is
The gap between what practitioner knowledge is worth and what it is currently paid is not a market inefficiency. It is a structural failure. Kofa closes it by paying clearly and upfront — you see the fee before you accept anything, and Kofa takes no cut.
The right people get heard
Most of the time, the person with the real answer is not in any database — they are busy doing the work. The person who gets asked instead is the one who was easiest to find. Kofa changes which people get heard when important questions are being asked.
You use the platform too.
Practitioners don’t browse listings or compete for attention. When a brief matches your domain, your profile, and your availability, it comes to you — through the same platform the seeker uses.
Fit matters more than volume
A brief either matches you — or it doesn’t reach you.
The fee, the expectations, and the agenda are visible before you commit. Decline without penalty if it’s not right for you.
Market Entry · Kenya — informal credit dynamics in Mombasa, before the next investment committee. The fee is visible before you commit to anything.
Review · Decline without penalty
Agenda co-built with the seeker and locked before the session. NDA signed first. You know exactly why you are there and what will be covered — no surprises.
Speak from direct experience, on the agenda you helped build. Decline any question you are not comfortable answering — no explanation, no penalty.
Paid within 48–72 hours of the session closing — in your local currency or USD. Kofa does not take a cut from your compensation.
Fit matters more than volume. A brief either matches you or it doesn’t reach you.
From matched brief to decision asset.
Five stages, built around one principle: the right person reaches the right question — and what they share becomes part of the asset the seeker keeps.
A brief arrives that matches your background — email, WhatsApp, or your dashboard. Some briefs are private, visible only to invited practitioners.
Fee and expectations visible before you commit — decline without penalty if it’s not right for you.
The prep room — context shared, agreements signed, agenda built collaboratively and locked. Your protection begins here.
You join the session and speak from direct experience, on the agreed agenda. What you know is the product — not a performance.
Your contribution becomes part of the decision asset the seeker keeps and cites. Paid within 48–72 hours. It does not disappear this time.
The honest answers to the same four doubts.
We hear the same handful of doubts before anyone joins a first session, and they deserve a straight answer instead of a reassurance.
This sounds like a gig platform with better branding — I’ll be one anonymous profile among thousands, competing on price.
You don’t bid. You don’t compete for visibility. A brief either matches your background or it doesn’t reach you. The prep room — which locks a structured agenda before anyone is paid — exists because fit matters more than volume. It’s expensive to build that step. We built it anyway.
I’ve shared hard-won knowledge before and watched it get used, repackaged, and credited to someone else.
This is not paranoia. It has happened to most people who’ve ever sat in a consultation. We don’t ask you to take our word for it. The agreements — including the NDA where one applies — are signed before you enter the prep room. Access to the recording is named in writing. If a seeker uses what you shared outside those terms, Kofa investigates on your behalf.
Verified practitioner is just a badge — anyone can claim field experience.
You’re right that a badge means nothing on its own. Verification here is not a checkbox someone fills in during sign-up. It is a review of your actual background, references, and the specific experience you’re claiming to speak from — done before you ever see a brief. And it holds over time, through how you show up in sessions, not just at the door.
These concerns are probably irrational — I should just trust the platform.
They are not irrational. They are the correct response to an industry that has, often enough, earned them. The honest answer is not that we’re different in spirit. It’s that we built specific, checkable mechanisms — the prep room, the locked agenda, the pre-session NDA, the standing verification — precisely because spirit has never been enough to protect anyone’s time or knowledge before.
Stated plainly, before you accept.
Knowledge that took years to build is worth something. Kofa is built on the belief that it should be paid accordingly — on terms you agree to before you ever join the call.
Your time matters. Your experience matters. Both deserve to be compensated clearly — on terms you agreed to before you ever joined the call.
Protection is built in, not promised.
Sharing real experience means trusting someone with knowledge that may have taken years to build. That trust is not assumed. It is worked into the platform at every stage.
Agreements in place before you say a word
Where an NDA applies, it is signed before the prep room — not during, not after. Recordings and transcripts are shared only with the seeker and Kofa’s internal team. You know exactly who will hear what you say before you say it.
You control your own contribution
If the conversation moves into an area you are not comfortable discussing, you can decline to answer — without explanation, without penalty. The agenda is a guide, not a contract that overrides your judgement.
You can request redaction
If, after the session, you believe something should not have been included in the final record, you can request that it be reviewed for redaction. That standard does not expire when the call ends.
Kofa investigates — on your behalf
If a seeker misuses shared information or acts outside the terms of the brief, Kofa investigates and takes appropriate action. You will not be left to resolve these situations alone.
Genuine, firsthand, verified
The network’s quality layer.
Verification is how the network protects the quality of every conversation. It is not about prestige, credentials, or titles. It is about making sure that when you speak from experience, the people listening can trust that the experience is genuine — and that the platform never trades on knowledge that isn’t firsthand.
Whether the experience you are claiming is genuine — not whether it matches a standard format
Your actual background and references, reviewed before you ever see a brief
The specific experience you are claiming to speak from — not a general sense of your professional history
How you participate over time — it holds through how you show up in sessions, not just at the door
Formal qualifications — a nurse and a cooperative leader are verified differently
Published work or public profile — many of the people with the deepest experience have neither
A standard format — a founder is verified differently from a field officer
A checkbox completed during sign-up — that is not what this is
When a seeker joins a session, they know they are speaking with someone whose experience has been reviewed — which means they take what you say seriously
When you accept a brief, you know you are participating in a process held to the same standard for everyone in it
A platform built on firsthand knowledge is worthless the moment the knowledge stops being firsthand — verification is what prevents that
The trust you build over time compounds — it becomes the reason you are matched to the most important briefs
Verification is run by the coordinators — trusted country partners responsible for growing, maintaining, and assuring the quality of practitioner networks in their markets. Not everyone looks the same here. A founder is verified differently from a field officer. The process reflects the work you have actually done, not the documents you happen to have.
Start here
Your knowledge belongs in the decision.
Introduce yourself. When the right brief arrives — or when a seeker brings you by name — a coordinator verifies and onboards you, and the platform runs the rest: prep, the session, the asset, and payment within 48–72 hours.
Fee visible before you accept · No cut from your compensation · BYOP — a seeker can bring you by name
